• I believe La Mesa is the best small city in San Diego County. And I believe it is the responsibility of City Council members to keep it this way, which is why I am running for office.

  • I currently serve on the La Mesa Community Services Commission (since 2018). I work with city council and city staff, and understand city processes and city budget.

  • As a City of La Mesa volunteer, I worked to establish the first community garden (2020-2021); I have also been involved in the sidewalk improvement plan, several park master plan workshops and community town hall meetings.

  • I am a proponent of La Mesa's historic preservation, and have supported the La Mesa Historical Society as a docent for their annual Historic Home Tour (2016-2019).

  • I built school gardens at Lemon Avenue Elementary and La Mesa Middle School (2004-2014), including developing age-appropriate student curriculum for classrooms.

  • I currently work as a planner and landscape architect for the City of San Diego, where I am involved in downtown development projects, including housing, parks, green streets and safe streets for bicyclists.

  • I am a La Mesa resident of 21 years, and live here with my husband, Jon, and two sons, Sam and Max.
